Wondering if that is too much for Jones, no?

Definitely is. Two "top" of the line up players 13th OA and a mid round is easily an overpay I would assume they'd be looking for futures in return for Jones to start the rebuild

I dunno. I see three good complementary elements but no centerpiece. So it's kind of an overpay but with the wrong quality of assets.

You might not want either Konecny or Myers as a center piece but they both could qualify as center pieces in a deal. I know CBJ fans want a center but Konecny is a quality piece and Myers could be a future replacement for jones I mean he probably won't be as good but you're also getting other pieces with it

"Probably won't be as good" == "not a centerpiece". We need someone who stands a fair chance of being as good. Swapping that out with multiple good players just makes it less helpful for Columbus while being unnecessarily more expensive for the Flyers.

Erik Brannstrom will not be as good as Mark Stone but he was the center piece of that trade. The point of a rebuild is to get quality pieces and draft picks for the future Myers is a quality piece and also getting a fourth 1st round pick in the draft if it was a 1 for 1 I could understand saying not as good means it's not a center piece but a center piece doesn't have to have equal value as the player you're acquiring

Brannstrom was (and arguably still is) a likely future core player though. And the high 2nd was another likely-to-be-decent asset. Myers isn't up there - he's five years older than Brannstrom was at the time and is looking more like a mid-pairing guy. Useful, but not future core.

And 1sts in this draft are not where one would expect to get future core types. Frankly there's only one guy who really looks like he stands a good chance of that status, and he's probably going to Buffalo. Everyone else looks like Solid Contributors at best, with a few more likely than others that are all likely to be gone well before that Philadelphia 1st comes into play. If we're going to load up on 1sts, next year is preferable.
