Detroit Red Wings 2021-2022

Description
Another take at a Detroit off season.
For the expansion draft I protect Larkin, Fabbri, Vrana, Bertuzzi, Erne, Rasmussen and Svechnikov for forwards.
Dunn, Hronek and Cholowski for defensemen.
Greiss for the goalie.
I would have a deal for Bernier in place.
I offer them a fourth round pick to not take Smith, Lindstrom and Stetcher.
For the entry draft I look at selecting
#6 Eklund / Johnson / Wallstedt
#22 Cossa / Pinelli / Bolduc
After the first round just the best player available for each pick.
The Gardiner trade is a cap dump.
Dunn for two seconds I think is quite fair value, I know alot of people want the Washington first but I think this gets it done.
Tampa trade another cap dump, if I don't get Wallstedt or Cossa in the draft I would be asking for Hugo Alnefelt instead of Jack Finley, might have to do minor changes. I send them a fourth to justify them sending a first instead of a second or third like I've seen in alot of trades.
Eriksson trade is another cap dump, I would expect the only way he waives his no trade clause is to be bought out so I do that for him and Frans Neilson.
At the trade deadline I would look at moving Glendening, Stetcher, Dekeyser if anyone wants him at half salary, and Greiss. I would look at offers for Fabbri and Svechnikov but they would have to blow me away as I would rather keep them and resign.
I start the young guys in Grand Rapids but once injuries come into play I would be looking at calling up Veleno, Smith, Berggren, Raymond, Lindstrom and Seider depending on their development.
I would also be looking to broker deals at the deadline with the cap space accrued for futures.

Albert Johansson is playing in Färjestad next season too. He's not available for GR.

Lindström is eligible for waivers next season, I don't think he'll clear. I'd hate to lose him considering how thin we are in GR (only Barton).

Statistically a late 1st round pick is almost identical to two 2nds regarding the chance of turning into a NHL player, and with how tiny our prospect pool is I prefer to keep the two 2nds over the #22OA. If the Blues wan't that pick then I'd let them have it.

Otherwise it's looking good. TB needs the cap from that trade, they'll have to pay to get it.

If Lindstrom got called up I would expect him to stay, same with Smith. I didn't realize Johansson was playing in Europe but that's minor details for GR. I would prefer the 1st ad there are players I would specifically target but in sure Yzerman has a profile for every draft eligible player and would have a better idea what the second round holds. I haven't looked that deep into that draft.

Lindström would have to be put on waivers at the start of the season and he'll likely be lost. I'd try to run 8 defenders and 13 forwards to avoid that.

There are some really interesting players to be had in both the 2nd and 3rd round this year. I know you want a goalie but Gaudreau will be there mid 2nd and I don't see how Cossa can be said to be definitively better when they're this young.

True, definitely not opposed to any of that

No point in protecting Svech, he's 24 will be 25 for next season and he's not an NHL player. I don't mind the moves you made though.

Definitely wouldn't bother me too lose him, but I personally would like to see if he could put up some numbers in a full nhl season

First of all, Detroit could easily top that. I could also see VAN paying a 2nd + Woo or MTL paying a 2nd + Brook. And loads of AGMs on here have proposed these offers.
