Description

Massage the trade with picks or other decent prospects; Reinhart provides an alternative center option in case of injury, and is a very good top six winger otherwise. Would the Sabres accept a package built around picks and not including a current top young player (Hoglander, Podkolzin)? The current rumour is the going rate for Reinhart is a 2021 1st in the top ten - Vancouver's is 9th overall. Throw in a cap dump plus another 1st to make the money work. If there's other minor pieces to move around, so be it.

The blue jackets are targeting Reinhart as the answer to their center woes? Interesting. I thought they'd retool a bit, sell off a couple pieces, rebuild around their younger guys and say goodbye to the vets and pending UFAs. Is Reinhart really a fit there?

You’re missing significant value there. You’d have to add a top prospect, and it should probably be the 2022 first round pick instead of 2023.
