Full disclosure, I don't care that you guys are going to be disappointed. But you're talking about people being douchebags and making this an unpleasant place to spend time? That's exactly what a lot of Sabres fans are doing when they post that the return is going to be something like one of these, and anything less doesn't get it done. Considering half of the threads on here are Eichel threads, it's pretty prevalent.

Like you said, no one really knows what the deals going to be, but Sabres fans refuse to yield that it might not actually take 3-4 of a teams top 6-7 assets, and it's become insufferable. It prevents any real discussion from happening.

In the case of the Wild trade, the trade above is too much and wouldn't work for the Wild. Why would they give up their center who just came in 4th on Selke voting when the goal of an Eichel trade would be for them to have Eichel-Ek as their 1-2 punch down the middle? Fiala may need to go to clear cap, but Boldy probably stays so they can shoot for a Cup next year. Any team acquiring Eichel is doing it to win now, so they're not mortgaging their immediate future.

I don't think it's unreasonable to say the Sabres are NOT going to get these types of deals. None of us know what the exact deal will be, but it's pretty safe to say it's not the OP's packages. If you think the Sabres are really going to pull something like one of the packages listed, you're just setting yourself up for disappointment.

Sorry all. Didn't mean to start an argument. I apologize for being hopeful my favorite team will get a somewhat exciting return in a trade that involves losing our 24 year old superstar captain/my favorite player in the midst of a 10 year playoff drought. My bad for not wanting to believe we're going to trade Jack Eichel for something that ends up along the lines of Macro Sturm, Wayne Primeau, and Brad Stuart. Guess my hockey knowledge worse than I thought and i maybe don't belong on this site

You’re high to think that. Panthers are giving up the most in these trades. Those are two top 20 prospects in the league while the other teams are giving up 1. Maybe the picks are higher. And yandle retained 50% will net you more picks and a prospect.
