Would imagine VGK is gonna try to unload Lehner. I’d offer VV and a first for him instead

rather pay Sammy and a 2nd. Lehner would obviously be a full blown#1 so no need for him and Sammy

    1. No getting rid of Lars.
    2. You do realize "paying Eller to take Hags" means Seattle then takes Hagelin in the expansion draft, thus not selecting Sheary?

you are looking at it differently

Im using Eller to dump Hags... they aren't drafting this is purely a trade...then they draft Sheary.

Why? Sammy has way more upside and if the difference in getting Lehner is 30 picks in a down draft isn’t that a no brainer? Not sure if VGK would be interested in either of those deals but assuming they were

I’m not either and seems like he’s had some awful luck and made some bad decisions off the ice which have stunted his development (along with Covid situation in general). But I’d think his floor is a good backup and that’s essentially what VV projects are imo.

Sammy has all the talent to be a top 5 goalie in the NHL but doesn't know how to reach that level. Great example is Kuzy has the same ceiling and we all saw how he plays when he hits that level. where Kuzy is different is he said its too much work to be that good.... If sammy ever figures out how to reach that level look out but Washington needs a sure thing bc the window is only open for a small amount of time. between covid and him getting hurt on a quad im over him lol
