It’s so annoying watching all these Toronto trades where you keep sending back defense. We had the best defenseman group out there this year lol.

Not to mention Dermott doesn't even get Roy 1 for 1 if Vegas desperately needed D.

Vegas is fine on the left side and Ik Dermott plays on the right side too but Vegas still has no use for him.

They won't be able to sign Martinez and could use a guy who has decent upside like Dermott

Cuz unless you trade Tuch or someone, you won't be able to sign Martinez and all reports indicate Martinez isn't going to be cheap.

All reports are Vegas is letting Martinez walk because they know he isn't going to be worth 5M. Vegas has Hague and Holden who are both as good or better than Dermott so they don't need more defense. Vegas also has more NHL ready dmen in the pipeline.

If you want my source for Martinez walking it is Jesse Granger on a podcast. I forget which one because I listen to a lot of them
