Maybe Ellis for Parakyo
and Nurse is Elite and top 10 in the league
then Doughty is one of The best Canadian defenceman

I love how before the playoffs everyone and their dog had Carey Price written completely off of team Canada. Now he's the undisputed number 1.

Nurse was on a massive bender this year and Doughty is far from being even a top pair defenseman in the NHL

I wouldn't call him the "undisputed number 1." Canada's goaltending isn't great. And sure, there's some recency bias here but you can't ignore the success Montreal is having right now

I guess what wasn't clear from my comment is that I don't deny their success and have never denied how good Price is. I think he's elite and deserves the shot at being Canada's goalie, prior to this year's playoff success. While I agree with your recency bias, I think what's important is that he is showing how good he is when healthy and playing well. So he may have had a down year by his standards but I'd say Canada has the potential to have great strength in the crease.

It was not a breakout, it was a massive bender. 99.9% sure he regresses next year

You call a 16 goal-season second most in the NHL not a breakout? This guy handled like crazy amount of minutes in the playoffs too

It looked a lot more like an unrepeatable bender to me
