Philly can't afford Fleury's full contract if they are trying to improve the defense.

Good to know. I've just seen reports that Philly is looking to add a veteran goalie to make Hart compete. I had no clue about their cap situation, just thought they might be interested in Fleury.

At this point, I'd trade Glass quickly. His value is plummeting quick. I wish he was the player that he was expected to be, but he just hasn't lived up to it and hasn't shown that ability at all 5 on 5.

Maybe they can use a third team to retain 50% so Philadelphia is only taking on 3.5M. What do you guys think of that?

Touché. I think a Glass for Patrick swap is best for all

I think at that price for one year the flyers would 100% be interested. I only wonder what team is willing to take that cap and what that would cost the flyers

Maybe Detroit for one year… they haven’t retained any contracts yet I believe, and I don’t think it would cost more than a 4th for the middle team to retain 50%. For example, it only took a 5th round pick for the sharks to retain 50% on Mattias Janmark at the deadline.
