I personally disagree. Any time you make an intentional hit with your stick or otherwise to someone head it should be a suspension because those type of injuries are the most dangerous and most importantly the most unnecessary and problematic ones.

Fighting? Knock yourself out if both guys volunteer on it, but it's just not really sportsmenlike to smash someone in the head with no warning.

If anything, Barzal and NYI got lucky they didn't get suspended - most likely because the next game is an elimination game.
