    Ok, you win. That is by far the most ridiculous Rielly to the Pens trade yet. Rielly is not gold and that is a massive overpayment for Rielly. Pens are not ripping down their top six for that.

    Pens keep Rust over Rielly 10 out of 10 times.

    One year of a decent LD is NOT going to get you guys all these whacky returns you keep posting.

    give me 1 good reason as to why any ufa like coleman or staal signs in toronto? because they're from toronto? leafs haven't won a round in almost 2 decades. why would a ufa want to ruin his career there? go ask marleau, thornton, simmonds etc how great toronto is for ufa's.

    This thread is a clear example of how leafs fans don't get it.

    What do the Pens not need? Left-handed defensemen.
    Why? They have nearly $14M tied up in FIVE of them.

    What do you the Pens currently need? A top-six/middle-six winger.

    What do you leafs fans do? Trade the Pens 2nd best top-six winger for a position they have five of. Not to mention Rust is maybe, if not the, best value first line winger in the league. $3.5M for what he produces is insane.

    These guys all think Rielly is the second coming and every team (mainly the Pens) they trade him to pays a king's ransom for one year of his services.
