Since we are envisioning the ideal, I would like to see:
1. Holland negotiate a three-team trade that sends James Neal to Seattle via some other club. Edmonton would take a cap hit of $953,333.50 and give up a couple of mid-to-late round picks in 2022
2. Trade Koskinen, retaining no more than $1,000,000
3. Seattle sign RNH as a free agent, breaking our hearts but freeing up salary to bring in better play-off performers (see items 6 and 7), and allow Holland to retain good trade assets (see item 5)
4. Larsson sign a 4-year contract extension,
5. The Oilers acquire Sam Reinhart and Nolan Patrick via trade,
6. Zack Hyman, Brandon Saad, Barclay Goodrow, and Jamie Oleksiak, sign as UFAs
7. Holland find a way to acquire one of the Golden Knight's goaltenders.
8. Stuart Skinner have a break-out rookie campaign
9. Kassian score 15 again
10. Russell claimed off waivers by another club
11. Klefbom return to top form by mid-season
12. all this resulting in a roster like...

I think Yamamoto would have to be part of the Reinhart deal, possibly along with Lavoie or Holloway, and the 2021 1st round draft pick.
