This leaves Compher as the only decent selectable player, and Landy Danault and Saad sign after the expansion draft.

There is enough money for next year to re-sign Couterier and Jones, but it may be the end for Burakovsky. Probably replaced next year by Saad/Kaut?

Calvert may be done, but any other 4th line LW could replace him, same with Bellemare/Sherwood. EJ is bought out but re-signed for cheap, because I believe he wants to end his career in Colorado. Alternatively he is bought out and we just sign another play in his place.

I've spread the talent across three lines because I believe Jost has offense in him and this balances the middle two lines more so than a Jost/Nichuskin+ 1 line. There is flexibility in the D pairings, but Jones/Toews and Byram/Makar could easily become a thing.

You do realize Girard is better than Jones, right? And not only is he better, but he's signed at $5 million per year for the next SIX years. Jones will get a hefty pay day, which will make Mackinnon's next deal a challenge.

And technically what you did with EJ is circumventing the cap, that’s a no no. Yeah WAS did it with Orpik but we did the buy out.

Also PHI declines if you want Couturier their first and only non negotiable ask is Newhook.
