This would be a win for CBJ. Sabres are best to go do a deal with ANA and get #3OA and one of their top prospects. Its likely the best offer available.

Updated it a bit. Columbus' pick is 5th overall so not like a big drop off, especially in this year's draft.

The difference is the teams timeline is not in line with Jones and I don't think he would agree to an extension there meaning the value would have to be changed. The problem for CBJ is they don't have a top prospect which is what BUF will be requesting along with a 21' 1st +.
