1) That is a weak bottom 6 - something that hurt the Leafs in the playoffs

2) Sandin is not going to be a top 4D sitting. Either he needs a spot or a trade. Can't see the Leafs leaving him watching - he's a cheap, good offensive D that's runs a decent Powerplay

3) On D, Leafs trade Reilly and Muzzin away and get Trouba and Soucy...to get better?

4) Marner out and in come Kreider and Foligno (the other Foligno) - makes the Leafs cheaper but older. Not necessarily better or harder to play against

Kreider and Trouba don't waive for Toronto. Muzzin has a NMC and of all the teams that don't need a LHD it's Minni.

Well they are not getting Marner for cap dumps without some retention.

The Rags get the best player in the deal but the Leafs spread out their cap allocation more evenly and add some much needed size and grit.

Soucy is cheaper, & Younger. Also he's the perfect fit for wild top 5/ 6 who can play in top 4 easily
