I think a fairer trade would be Texier and a 1st for Reinhart

I don't think texier is even that good. That's a throw in piece

Adams would say yes to this deal for Sampson.... it would provide him his goalie that he is looking for with 2 prospects (1 NHL ready and 1 a year away) plus an additional 1st in 2021....

Sadleafsfan is just hating on anything Sabres (taking about kicking the dog when he is down and out)..... Sampson has real value he has improved his level of play every year even though the franchise has been cratering around him.... he does not whine or complain like Jack.... showed he could carry the load as a center this year..... he has talent skill and will get dirty when necessary..... I as a lifelong fan and 30 year season ticket holder would rather keep Sampson over Jack.

At this point as a CBJ fan, I don't think it's a good idea to trade for Reinhart, especially if this is what it will cost. We either go for Eichel or we rebuild, Reinhart isn't a game-changing talent that will allow for a proper retool. Then there's the matter of his UFA status next summer, if CBJ trades for him and he forces arbitration then we will likely lose him the season after. I would much rather see Jarmo try and acquire a good center prospect from a team that's looking to take the next step, a player like Perfetti, Lundell, Vilardi/Turcotte, and so on; maybe even a player like Cirelli if Tampa is unable to keep him due to their cap crunch. Buffalo is looking to sell high on Reinhart right now, they're going to try and win that trade and it will be expensive.

I would also trade Marchenko looong before Chinakhov. The former won't be coming to North America until next summer at the earliest, which is better for a rebuilding team like Buffalo looking to get a high pick next season. Jarmo also took a big risk drafting Chinakhov at 21OA and it already looks to be paying off (he's KHL rookie of the year and won the Gagarin Cup). He's not going to move Chinakhov so soon after drafting him since we're rebuilding, especially since Chinakhov has already signed his ELC.
