Philly declines. Thats way too much for Pesce and couple prospects.

Both teams decline actually. Carolina has guys like Aho, Svech, and Necas on the steep incline and they don't want to be wasting their prime years. Also, especially it Hamilton leaves, they will need top pairing defenceman, and Pesce is a lot closer than Myers. And in agreement with the above post, it's quite too much coming from Philly. Remove Foerster, Brink, and the first round pick and maybe it's closer to equal

Myers, Foerster, Brink, 1st and a 2nd? Better be getting a star for that price, not to mention whatever minimal value O'Brien and Patrick have
