I just keep thinking about how the Leafs had to pay Carolina a first round pick for ONE year of Marleau’s 6M contract. Why would Seattle take Neal’s contract for a guy (for as good as he was in the AHL) can’t stick to the NHL in Benson?

However i dont agree with your assesment on Benson Yet. Benson was coming off a couple years of injury and holland said he wanted to keep him in the A to develop and recover.
Last year Holland said there would be no call ups from the A all year which he stuck to until her ran out of Centers and call up Mcleod.
I think there is still a real chance Benson can be a good NHL player.

He just hasnt had a chance to really stick yet
