Description

There should be good value in the ufa market this year.

The $5.1mm cap hit for RNH continues to set the bar lower for UFAs (for prudent GMs). A continuation of what we saw with the Toffoli contract last year.

This lineup fits re: cap space with or without Drouin coming back.

Perry, Staal, Merrill, and Gustafsson would all be valuable depth if we’re able to get them at those cap hits. Injuries happen…

11 draft picks in this year’s draft. I bet we flip a bunch for picks next year to have as ammo at the trade deadline and at next year’s draft in Montreal.

I wouldn't mind having Perry back and Playoff Staal can return as well but not regular season Staal and only if he is used as a scratched player. Also no thank you to DeAngelo, Habs have great team chemistry don't need to add that mess to the locker room.
