ah yes. go from a stanley cup championship caliber team to a team that can't even win a round in the playoffs while being in the prime of your career and are hoping for a good stable contract. makes sense.

Kessel had Arizona on his 8 team trade list just because he liked their head coach.

        And guess what?

He went from a Stanley cup championship caliber team to a team that can't even win a round in the playoffs while still being in the prime of his career.

Every player has a different set of incentives for going to another team.

I find it interesting you have Toronto written in your profile and you're attacking a Sens fan for making a post about the Leafs.

That's the only reason why you're even commenting on my post to begin with.

That's probably the kindest and most well-thought out comment, especially compared to what others have said here.

        I appreciate it smile

Detroit is no longer featured in this post.

All good, more posters should reference some form of evidence for their statements. Everyone talks like they are the respective of their team (eg Yzerman, Holland) and provide no constructive criticism. Good luck with your ACGM.

        1. My point is that some people just comment on my posts just to trash them and completely ignore that similar ideas have been done before.

They also try to manufacture excuses that such ideas are impossible and will never happen again.

It doesn't matter how good those ideas are.

Whether you're one of those people, I'm not sure.

Your next comment could serve as a bellwether.

        2. Pearson has been with the Red Wings for 6 years. You'd think he would gotten a shot at 4C duties by now.

As for confusing Foligno with Savard, my point on eating salary from a division rival is still the same.

        There are several differences.

        1. Savard was a trade deadline deal after Wings were out of playoffs. Domi has a whole season left.
        2. Tampa is generally not in Wings division, only there due to Covid protocols.
        3. Toronto will be division rivals for the entire year, and we will see Domi several times.
        4. Wings got a 4th to eat over 2 million, which is prorated were the Domi is the whole 1.45 million for 1 year.

Trying to compare the two, without knowing the particulars shows that you just want to argue and do not know what you are talking about.

        1. The Domi trade is made at the 2022 trade deadline. I explicitly say so.

It's not my problem that other people can't read brief posts from start to finish.

        2. Tampa and Detroit will be in the same division next year and it will be called the Atlantic Division.

        Maybe you've heard of it.

        3. Trades made within the division happen all the time.

A good example is when Toronto gave away Connor Brown and Nikita Zaitsev to my beloved Ottawa Senators for scraps.

        4. Detroit is no longer featured in my post and wasn't when you started typing this comment.

So, your complaining is even more frivolous.

All this shows that YOU just want to argue and do not know what you are talking about.
