Don't know much about the prospects you've chosen here but they look decent enough. I'd at least entertain the offer...

Calgarys not about to dump 3 half decent prospects for a player who's going to free agency in a few months and a left wing who's been struggling and would have to play the 3rd line.

If we're selling then we're not taking on Widemans contract pretty sure we can get better players then this elsewhere.

If I'm holland I'm taking this deal. All of that for 2 expiring contracts and a struggling winger who also needs a new deal.

You would be taking on widemans contract for like 4 weeks. You're unwilling to do that if we get good prospects back? I get it if you don't think these are good prospects, that's always up for debate but to be unwilling to take back money on an expiring contract doesn't make sense.

The more I look at it the more I like it. I don't think it makes sense for CGY though. 3 decent prospects from a wildcard/borderline playoff team team doesn't bode well for the future health of the organization.

Although giving up the 3 prospects is tough... The truth is we have 1-2 other LW / Left Shot players higher on our depth Chart... Plus with the play of Tkachuk our top 2 LW spots are filled for the force-able future... (when you include JH)... Center is also full as long as we can hold onto Backs....

Plus our only chance to get into the play offs this year will require us to ditch Wides and get the refs off our backs.... He gets hit - not pushed - but hit into our net and gets a 2 minute delay of game penalty???? Seriously is no one reviewing these bad calls in TO.... I get he hit a ref BUT he had just been plastered and was still shaking it off....

As for the above set up... There is 1 issue from Calgary's side... Line up is short the 14th forward and 652k will not be enough to bring up a kid that might need to play if someone is injured... Also moving Troy down to the 4th line will not happen...

Also can't forget Wideman's NMC which I doubt he'll waive for a non-playoff team
