Ridiculous trade to give up potential four starters for two years of Duchene, for a rebuilding Leaf team, especially for a position that doesn't need that much help.

Not ridiculous at all! Duchene with 2 full years left on his deal can upgrade the left side, and/or next year move into the 2 center spot allowing the movement of either Bozak or Kadri! 2017 Draft after top 10 pick is weak and a crap shoot, so I don't have a problem moving the picks. I doubt that St. Louis is going to move Parayko, (Shattenkirk UFA) but you make them a reasonable offer, and about what it would take! Hertl brings skill and I believe we have plenty in the system, with Sosh, Grundstrom, Korshkov, Leipsic, to back fill a 3rd/4th line wing spot with a little grit!
