Rafferty is a gamble that costs next to nothing and has high potential rewards.

Graves would be good if they could get him without giving up too many prospects or Dunn from St. Louis, but it could also make sense to sign an older guy like Goligoski to buy time until Harris or Norlinider are ready to step in. The hard part for Bergevin will be finding some scoring help while leaving enough cap space for Suzuki and Caufield.
