They are also not allsaints like you make them out to be. They are people and people take bribes ALL the time. Did it happen here maybe not but there is ABSOLUTELY no way that my mother-in-law recovered from hi replacement surgery in 2 months less time than Kutcherov did from his surgery. Sorry I just don't buy that.

you are comparing your mother in law.....to a professional athlete who is training and rehabbing to play a fast and physical sport again vs just what walking for her to be considered recovered?

Dude you are something else, no point in continuing this conspiracy theory conversion, no reasoning in what you are saying anymore

Yes I am comparing them a 28 YO pro athlete should definitely be able to heal faster than a 65 YO diabetic with a FULL hip replacement. Seriously are you trying to say that a 65 YO should heal 2 months quicker than someone in top physical condition? Take off those rose colored classes man!

Take the tin foil hat off man
And yes his hip surgery recover time is dramatically longer than replacement

You aren’t even comparing apples to apples here

Have a good day bc this is going no where,

LMAO!!!! Hip replacement takes WAAAAAAY longer to recover from as they literally break out the bone and use pins to fuse the synthetic hip in place! Nice try though, I think you drank too oooo oooo much kool-aid!!!

maybe Google hip replacement surgeries recoveries...4-6 weeks for a person to begin normal activities post replacement.

Nice try? Are you saying the medical field is part of this grand conspiracy as well and lying on medical journals etc about recovery times? I think you are looking for something that isnt there about the lightning bc you are big mad about the LTIR.

Being the thread starter I think you should know @coga16 said that when they tried to get rid of this loophole only two teams voted to abolish it and that was the Tampa Bay Lightning and St Louise Blues. So the Lightning wanted it gone but all other teams wanted to keep it so the Lightning used it to their advantage. Second, Yanni Gourde had the same surgery and he missed 6 months, Brayden Point had the same surgery and he missed 5 months. Nikita Kucherov missed 5 months which is on par with the same recovery time as Yanni Gourde, Brayden Point and I also think Tyler Seguin was out six months for hip surgery.

If you should be mad it should be at the other 29 GMs and teams that did not vote to get rid of the loophole. Kucherov had surgery and it was in the timeframe for other comparable cases and the Lightning were within the rules of the CBA. I would be upset if my GM of my favorite team did not try to take advantage of all the rules to try to keep the team I root for as competitive as possible knowing their was no guarantee the team would even make the playoffs without their offensive star.

My frustration is not with Tampa as I have said many times before it is the League for allowing such a ridiculous situation to arise. Tampa is well within their rights to use LTIR to their advantage and ice the best team possible to win the cup (which they did). The issue I have with Tampa is the fans pretending like the situation is fair to the other 30 teams that got warned at the deadline about using LTIR to circumvent the cap as well. Perhaps he wasn't in game shape until the playoffs but was able to practice, I have my doubts though because Tampa's last game of the season was 3 days before their first playoff game. IMO if he was able to play the first game of the playoffs there is no reason he couldn't play the last game of the season other than to have his cap hit not count. There is not a whole lot of recovery going on that late in the healing process anyway. He would have been skating for weeks at that point and having full contact practices so what would have prevented him from playing the last game or 2 of the season?
