NY was one of the last teams he considered before resigning with Tampa and he wasn’t included in Tampa’s untouchables list at the beginning of the season

I have never seen someone so obsessed with another team’s cap situation. Go touch grass

Speaking in absolutes tho 😑

Pretty good return all told

Kravvy and Zac are both NHL ready

Blackwell superb asset given $

Fair to say it's a very sensible proposal for their situation and a hefty return so why wouldn't they consider it? Yeesh. Absolutism is lame.

Tampa is also about to win back to back cups. Who would want to leave the best team in the league?

If you have the title "cap space as an asset" , obviously people are going to comment about the cap space

Did you listen to what Stamkos said when he signed 1 of the big reasons he gave he just wants to be a hockey player. In Tampa Bay he's recognized but not harassed.
Biggest favor Toronto ever did for TB was bringing in the CEO of Canadian Tire to tell him about all the endorsement deals, and the Mayor telling how much he'd be the face of Toronto. Yadda yadda yadda.

To the grand majority of NYers, hockey is completely irrelevant. Even beyond that Hideki Matsui put out an article in the Player’s Tribune last week about how even as the World Series MVP no one in NY bothered him on the streets

Reason 2 he pays a good amount of cash to control where he works and then after winning back to back cups doesn't want to stay? not a NTC a NMC and takes a paycut in the form of NY state income tax and cost of living.

This is very true. Hockey is a niche sport in NY and the vast majority of people couldn’t give a damn. This is coming from a New Yorker who is around people who know nothing about the sport or even care.
