Description
Some Notes

Top 6 overall is somewhat interchangeable. We’ll see some combination top of Toews, Kane, Debrincat, Dach, and Kubalik in the top 6 all year

2nd Line: I feel like if Storme has a future in the Hawks top 6 it’s at the wing. Management and the coaching staff have been pushing him to learn to play wing better so this could be a make or break year for his future with the Hawks.

3rd Line: I have a feeling that Borgstrom is going to get every opportunity to succeed with the Hawks so look for him to play high in the line up early on. Not sure what you all think about Tyler Johnson but make sure to let me know.

4th Line: I have no idea where Nylander fits into the lineup but I do think that the Hawks will give him another shot based on what they have invested in him.

Defense: I feel like Zadorov might come back because it does look bad if Bowman gives up on the last real asset from the Panarin trade. If De Haan does get picked in expansion I could see the Hawks acquiring another veteran D-man. In this case I think they should let the kids play and see which one of the young D-man will be impact players in the NHL going forward.

Goalies: I think they’ll run it back with the same Trio of Lankinen + Subban/Delia however I could see them acquiring a veteran backup or a 1b tandem goalie to pair with Lankinen like a Chris Driedger

edmonton is not taking on the full salary and giving back a guy that costs 500k when buried. a 3rd is nowhere near a sweetner to take on that kind of burden

Johnson looked a lot better this year, especially in the playoffs. i don't think they'll have to pay to get rid of him

Oilers are steering clear of Keith at full cap hit. The only way he comes across like that is if you change Neal for Turris. I realize Neal is terrible but his contract is relatively buyout friendly.
