I love all the leafs fans saying pass on komorov when the fact is, not having an uncle leo to give the leafs some heart is why they are disappointments every year. But sure, spend 60% of your cap on 3 players and see how that goes. Islanders didnt have a top 30 scorer nor a player making more than $7mm and they were 1 goal away from playing for the cup this year and 2 wins away last year. I think the Islanders have taught the NHL a very valuable lesson - it is a team game and having the depth to roll 4 lines is more valuable than having 3 80+pt stars and dog**** 3rd and 4th lines.
