Let's be honest, if $4.9 is the number, Hyman will be back in Toronto. If he's leaving, he's getting $5.5-6.

I'm guessing Hyman is a good guy and leaves some money on the table so probably around $5.25 would be more realistic. But there's no way Toronto can resign him unless its under 4 mil.

Welcome to CapFriendly!

Philippe Myers was one of the few Flyers defensemen who played well this past season, but assuming that Philadelphia wanted to move him, why wouldn't they just deal directly with Montreal and get a second and a third for him a la Devon Toews?

4.9 for 9 is actually enough for Hyman. I can see him signing a 4 year deal than a 5 year deal

Myers was great two seasons ago and in the bubble, but was terrible this past season. There's rumors that he might be a buyout candidate for the team since he doesn't make too much money. The trade didnt have to be for Myers, it could probably be for a random player and a low pick. I just added in Myers because of the buyout rumors.

He is a buyout candidate because his contract actually gives you cap space if you buy him out next offseason, not because he's bad.
