I wouldn't be surprised if it was but if he wanted to prioritize winning it wouldn't be a bad option and a good fit for a trade.

VGK had a deal in place last year to send Schmidt to WPG for Roslovic and according to rumours the deal got nixed due to Schmidt's M-NTC

He shot down a trade to Winnipeg last offseason.

Value is also poor, Jets giving up too much.
