There is a zero percent chance Wheeler is asked to waive, or that he would waive if asked. He stay, much to some dismay

Much better than most offers we get on here.

Still not really the kind of deal that makes me want to move him though

Other than signing Hamilton, the trades and leaving Wheeler excluded all do a good job of really reducing the talent level on the Jets or giving up good players for guys the Jets should have no interest in.

What would your ideal and realistic deal that you would like to see to move Lebanc? I'm guessing Berdin and Niku are 2 of the pieces that could help the Sharks in the future. I might even include Appleton instead of Harkins.

I like it, I would very much consider that. If you’re trading Copp as well anyway, I wouldn’t mind see him coming back in a trade as well.

Copp is the Jets biggest trading chip. So I think they hold on to Copp to get a bigger fish than Lebanc. Not saying that Lebanc isnt a big fish because I think he is. But the package that I came up with Helps the sharks and allows the Sharks to build with some younger assets. Harkins is 24 years old, Berdin is 23 years old and Niku is 24. So that gives the Sharks more years to begin building a team for the future. Copp isn't old by any means but him being 27 he is almost in that stage where he is win now mode or the next couple of years. Another thing I should mention is that the 3 players going to the Sharks aren't going to break the bank in salary. The Sharks have some big contracts to work through. Copp is probably going to be in that $4M-$5M range.

I get where you’re coming from for sure, the only reason why I said I’d be interested in Copp is cause the Sharks are in desperate need of a good 3C, and the Jets might move on from him anyway. But if the feeling is that Copp > Labanc then I understand.

And the main attraction of the trade is the 1st, ngl. I don’t mind Niku, Harkins or Berdin, but none of them hold much value to us, and they aren’t young enough to be considered prospects still. And we don’t have the contract space for all three of them. I’d rather have one better prospect than the three of them honestly.
