Before all the Sharks fan decline this trade, reports are saying that Evander Kane won't have much value on the market due to his off ice issues

Ik about the issues off the ice, but I think for this price, it’s worth the risk. SJ hopes Johnsson returns to form, Boqvist has a ton of potential still, and get a mid round pick. Kane is coming off a good year and possesses the size, speed, and experience the Devils are looking for. Also helps us get to the cap floor

If this is all we could get for Kane (which I highly doubt it is) Idk how I would feel about trading him

Unfortunately for u guys, it’s become more of a character and locker room issue more than anything. The worst part of it all is that it has become public which will hurt his value. Are u getting a great deal with this offer? No, but ur getting a respectable one that has a lot of upside considering the circumstances. Think both sides want a change

I mean I get where you are coming from but he produced really well on a really struggling team last year and was our best player on the ice for the majority of the season. I would just have a hard time giving him up for this

Theres no value being provided here though a pair of overpaid depth forwards is basically nothing. If we cant get some value then id rather just not trade him

No team is forced to move a guy. Look at the oilers with Poolparty, he wanted out for 3 years and they didnt get what they wanted so they let him **** off and come back later.

If we cant get atleast like a first for Evander I dont see the point in moving him. Let him play or sit him until you get some kind of offer.

That’s fair but from the Sharks perspective why would you not ask for more than this? Apart from Hertl he was our best player last year by far and off-ice issues aside he’s a borderline elite player. There’s no way NJ would part with someone like Zacha for similar value to what’s here if there were rumors that he was clashing with teammates or he wanted out, right?
