    Leafs would be much better signing a 4m UFA and keep those cap free young asset rather than trading for Bertuzzi.
    Yeah, I'm sure Gourde waive his NTC for the Leafs.

    Tavares is on LTIR for the concussion he sustained in the playoffs, i think it is good to be EXTRA cautious with him

    And I’m not sure Tampa would agree to that because they don’t really need a defenceman and gourde has been an excellent 3rd C for them
    It would be a good trade if they could work it out though

    It would be a good trade if they could work it out though


    it saves them like 5 million in cap without having to pay someone to take johnson. they could use a RHD on an ELC if liljegren can play, which the jury is still out on.
