Isles fans: literally obsessed with acquiring Tarasenko

Also Isles fans: “Tarasenko is damaged goods, we’re taking a big risk here, you should be happy we even give you that, etc”

If they don’t trade him before the expansion draft they very well could lose him, so I wanted to jump the gun on this one

Yeah could easily go for a 7th, might have been too ambitious on that one lol

I’m basing this off of all of the mock trades I’ve seen so far, really don’t see how much more tarasenko goes for given the blues don’t have much leverage.

They could go for a different prospect but they’re not getting 2 legitimate NHLers for a disgruntled player who’s possibly still hurt.

Eberle and Hickey (50%) for cap purposes, plus Wilde, Bellows and a pick would be my offer. Make the pick conditional on Tarasenko’s performance.

If Vlad wasn’t asking out and healthy then yeah that would be reasonable, but neither of those are true. If you just take all of hickey and take bellows or Wilde and a conditional pick then I could see that happening. Just not enough leverage on the blues part for them to get a full haul like that IMO

Also eberle is locked in for 3 years at a reasonable rate plus wotherspoon isn’t just a throw in, he’s made good strides in the minors and is soon to be NHL ready. Not much more you can ask for, especially given Vlads age and mood

I’d rather get one year of Komarov at 3m for a 2nd than take on two years of Andrew Ladd a 4+m for a 2nd and Bellows. I don’t think Bellows makes up that difference at all.

That said Ottawa would probably be interested in that Komarov cap dump if Detroit wasn’t.
