I agree and theyve openly stated they want to get tougher to play against. He may not want Kassian. As well as other NYR fans. But most Oilers fans didn't want Keith and here we are. Most Keyboard warrior GMs on here dont like proposed trades involving their teams. But none are the actual GM. If the owner says go get muscle then Drury will go get muscle. And the owners actions after the Wilson debacle suggest he wants muscle.

Right. But there are a handful of players who are both cheaper and better hockey players than Kassian, who will fill that dearth in the lineup.

Players that you know are available? Free agents? Who are they? There are not a lot of players out there that can fight and play with skill that I can see in free agency or that I've heard their teams are willing to consider trading them.

Free Agents - Barclay Goodrow, Jamie Oleksiak, Corey Perry

Trade Block - Ben Chiarot, Adam Lowry, Kyle Clifford, Nikita Zadorov

And for the record, Kassian can’t play with skill. Both of us can find a dozen players like that who are cheaper and/or shorter-term than ZK.
