Long term outlook

Description
Did 23 season on purpose to see how the max cap penalties would affect the roster. Still could afford a 1st C and a veteran D man. Provided that our kids grow up to the expectations. Need to take Menell and FJo out of Europe and convince Lindberg to remain in the system, no matter what the cost is. Any comments?

Soucy is taken by Seattle. Greenway and Dumba are likely traded since they would command a pay rise. Tried, but could not fit them.

My thoughts are that I never understand why people do these things for 2069 or whatever year they pick

In this case the roster has to be filled in order to be below the cap in 23 when the max penalties are in act. Read the description

I get that but its hard enough to know what will happen a week from now. There is absolutely no possible way you could ever evaluate anything that far out.

Go back 3 years and look at the rosters and opinions on guys then and it'll be clear.

The reality of Min atm is they are either going all in right now or they wont be competitive for a half decade or longer

Bo is an example of a 1st line C. Leddy is an example of a veteran D.

If MN still wants a 1st line C and is keeping Rossi, he is a 3rd line C.

No will be like 28 in 2023-2024 meaning he will be in the latter half of his prime. I’m not sure signing him for 9.5 mil for 7 years is the way to go. I love Bo but he is the perfect 2C on any team but not a true 1C

I mean, he is an example in terms of an example. I could insert Barkov or Nate but people would be freaked out.

The agent of kaprizov wants 3 years, Guerin wants 8. But Russo reported the agent,,& Guerin are understanding they have to meet in the middle

2 years isn't happening

Barkov is a legit 1C and is a UFA so why not.

I would prefer him as an RFA and then resign long term. (I did 23 to account for cap penalties). I am not letting him to walk away without compensation. After next season if he repeats that performance, either they agree long term or he is traded for a large package.

Aero...gotta say bud, your Bobrovsky plan might not have been as terrible as others suggested. It’s officially dead cap, so irrelevant now. But it’s dead cap in the purest sense.
