I don't think Tarasenko makes much sense in Boston unless Hall doesn't re-sign. If Hall moves elsewhere then maybe, but the 2 of them wouldn't clash that well on a line together and you're not moving one of them down the lineup for their salaries.

Also, if Tarasenko did go to Boston, with St.Louis' reported high interested in Landeskog you'd think they want someone with more of a bump and grind style with some offensive upside, I'd think they'd want the hometown kid in Frederic to start

A hall, krejci, tarasenko line could be lethal.

Also just really don’t think St. Louis gets much for him.

I agree that the hall line could work but I do think it would take more to get Tarasenko. Adding Frederic and possible a mid round pick could do it though.

And as a Leafs fan... this is a scary reality

7.5 million in cap. Plenty of real dollars. Flat cap era. Three surgeries and no sustained play in the last two seasons. Without retention, i don’t think they’ll get much of anything,.

A Hall/Krejci/Tarasenko line wouldn't work, especially in Boston. That type of line has 3 play drivers on it and all 3 guys need to the guy carrying the puck and create the offence rather than the finisher. Who's gonna be the guy on that line to go into the corners to get the puck back on the forecheck? Not Krejci. Not Hall. So that leaves Tarasenko? He's decent at it but that's not his strength to his game and with all his injury concerns it wouldn't be smart to throw him in that spot.
Don't get me wrong, that line has a ton of offensive skill to it. But the game isn't just about putting the puck in the net. There's not much defence or physicality on that line and honestly it would get walked all over if they didn't have the puck. Boston's culture has always been a big and tough, bruising type of team and that lines doesn't offer any of that

You don’t think hall and krejci get into corners and fight for pucks? Not sure which players you have been watching. That line would be awesome. Puck distribution, strong defense, and a couple scorers.
