Buch doesn't make ANY sense in an Eichel deal. You need a different main piece

When he finally gets traded there are going to be a lot of shocked people, if they include kakko then Buffalo is retaining 3-5 million in salary. Eichel is not pulling kakko with 3-4 other assets, that's absurd. An injured eichel with a flat cap and 10mill dollar cap hit does not pull a top prospect unless they retain salary or take out the draft picks, that's a fact people need to warm up to

I respectfully disagree, Buch is a beast and is literally better then everyone on the Sabres minus eichel and dahlin by a mile. The Sabres need solid players regardless of position, and Buch is a rock

Buf is rebuilding and needs futures, not win now players. The value of a player to a team is relative to their current goals. Its a lose lose on both sides.

If you traded Buch to a team that wanted him and used those assets for Eichel everyone would be happier.

I kinda agree... they need more then just futures though, they need solid vets too, they can't just throw a bunch kids out there and expect them to develop into nhl players, guys like Buch play the game the right way and he is incredibly valuable as a top 6 winger, he is easily there 1st line RW to pair up with Cozens or whoever

Also if we go past that, you can get 'vets' a dime a dozen in UFA. You don't use the biggest trade asset in a decade for it
