there are so many things wrong here, the leafs do have the money for hyman , they just arent willing to sign him to a 6x5 deal with his injury status, he isnt worth it. also colorado has maxed out their offer for him at 5.5M , with the flat clap and the pandemic no one in free agency this year is getting anywhere close to 9M. With so many high priced forwards, the Leafs are going to be forced to find underperforming has beens or entry level deals to fill out their roster. Another high priced forward would only make it that much more difficult to balance roster needs and set the Leafs back even further.

I think that's Landeskogs actual value but the term is too much. Kerfoot could be a 2nd and 3rd but a rebuilder like Detroit probably wouldn't make a trade like that. I think Toronto keeps Holl as he is their only right handed skilled defensemen.
