You can get less back for holl idc. I just wanted him off the team and i think the pens would be great since we do a lot of trades with hem anyway. Perosnally i think holl goes for a third or fourth rounder. If you find a team i can trade him to that makes sense tell me then i can do it

Winnipeg needs Appleton to expose to Seattle and that is too much to give up for a rental.

Not sure. But I’d imagine teams wouldn’t be able to get away with it in this circumstance.

I’d say that’s circumventing the cap.

That's why I added the condition, but if Reilly stays then maybe. Also, this occurs after the expansion draft

Yeah, Winnipeg would definitely not do the option with the 1st. They could use a top 4 vet LD for a year, but they need a good defensive top 4 defenseman. More like an Ekholm.
