Description
Take advantage of expansion draft potential exposure, move out players to gain cap space and recoup assets. Rebuild left wing with 1 year redemption flies and stop gaps until Amirov and Robertson are ready. I tried being realistic but I doubt a team would do this many transactions.

    Apparenlty penguins are planning on leaving McCann unprotected in the expansion draft. They get an exempt 3rd line forward that can play fast pace and PK while picking up a 3rd for someone they would lose for nothing.

    McCann played for Dubas in SOO. Good underlying numbers on a cheap contract. Swapped the rights and Mikheyev for McCann is really good asset management.

      Carolina Gets a Hamilton replacement on a cheap contract that only pays 3 million in salary this year. It is a late first round pick and they already have a deep farm system so a first and a prospect for a top pair D man would be worth it even if it is just for a single season guaranteed.

      Im not sure what prospect Carolina would be comfortable giving up. I figured one of Honka or Bokk, they are the both 21. I picked Bokk because Honka is the best D prospect they have a bunch of forward prospects. Rielly is an expiring UFA so recouping assents and cap space is good asset management

      Canes pass. Reilly isn’t a replacement for Hamilton. They’ll be looking at RDs if he leaves. Not interested at that price either way.

      You're not getting a second for a player you would lose for free otherwise. Plus why would you want dermott? You already have d men you have to protect. I was being beneficial giving you a 3rd as well considering there would be a market for McCann

      Im curious as to why? You're picking up a fine 4/5 D man for relatively cheap. He can slot in below Parayko and Faulk and is a lot better than Bortuzzo.

      Well, if he's behind Parayko and Faulk, who eat up 45-48 minutes per night, than he's not a top 4 for the Blues at all. They have other needs to worry about, this isn;t even a blip.
