If Ullmark is signed for 4 yrs, Smiths not getting 2 yrs, word is it’s a 1 yr deal or nothing for Smith your not signing a 39 yr old goalie for 2 yrs when there’s plenty of UFA options
Plus you see all the young goalies left unprotected, Seattle’s going select them all then flip 2 of them for assets/roster players there’s a deal to be made for Edmonton maybe Bear back to where he played jr

I think there's definitely a deal to be made with Seattle. The thing that worries me is that they are in the same division and might be hesitant to help the oilers out. I could see either Bear or Yamamoto being moved as they have ties to Seattle.

I think ulmark stays in Buffalo.

If Ullmark was going to stay in Buffalo he’d be signed already, they made a push to sign him at the deadline he declined as he wanted to test the market, why in the hell would you resign in Buffalo when everyone wants out and you’ve spent your whole career losing, there 5 yrs away from being competitive
I don’t think it will matter to Seattle about being in the same division at this point they have nothing to lose dealing within the division 3-4 yr down the road when they know their place within the division I could see it them, their only mission right now is to build the best team possible
I’m more open to a Bear trade then Yamamoto
