Was not aware.

That being said a trade of either Palat or killorn should get them under the cap so it can be done.

Hedman's recovery timeline was 3-4 weeks a week ago. He'll be ready for the start of the season.

Johnson and Palat will be gone also and 10M for shopping.. a KEY signing to me is Ryan Suter ... Hedmen and Mc Donoigh need to play less in regular seasons .. he would be example of 4 or 5 guys come in .. vets who want to win.

Hip surgery for Hedman - haven't heard this? I know he had a torn miniscus repaired.
