Description

Not sure what the asking price is going to be on Jones, fully depends if he is trade with an extension in place or not, I based this off of no extension being in place, i think thats a reasonable price Brook should see nhl ice time next see Poehling read to jump as well plus the picks i think is fair for one year of Jones. If an extension is in place either that 4th becomes a better pick and or brook is replaced by Ghule. I would expect Jones next deal to be around 7x8 which should be abother a mil cheaper than signing Hamilton.

Martinez is signed for 3 years on the assumption Chairot walks after next season and tests the market

Someone likely out bids that pretty easily, which I would prefer since Jones definitely isnt resigning in MTL and if he did it wold be to a number that would trigger my gag reflex

Fully possible that theres higher bids, and i think theres room to add on mtl's side, i dont expect him to resign either thats why i left the offer as is, i would much rather see the habs over pay in the trade to land jones even just first the year, than see them hand hamilton a 9 mil deal for 7 years, not that those are the only two options but those are the main two high end dmen available.

really? i think 9mil is a stretch, Pietrangelo making just under that and i dont think Hamilton is on his level. I think either of them make Montreal a better team other benefit of hamilton would be not losing any assests. I think Jones has more in him then we have seen though, columbus hasnt exactly been a stable team over the last few seasons.
