I like it, I think I'd not sign Parise and try to get Lawson Crouse from them too. Maybe add something else.

They aren't trading Jarry till they know they have one of their draft picks ready to play.
This leaves them no goalie at the end of next season, where they already have enough FA issues
Jarry led the team to 1st place last year, there is no need to replace him.

The pens won’t trade Jarry in the deal. Kuemper isn’t really much of an upgrade. He is more of a lateral move that costs more. Honestly I could see instead of Dvorak and Kuemper. Pettersson, an ok prospect, DeSmith, and a 2nd for Crouse, Lyubushkin, Fischer, and Kuemper.

Pens get bigger guys that can skate and chip in offensively, they get a bigger dman to compliment Matheson, and they get a 1A/1B solution in net. They are all guys that won’t get an arm and a leg for but can fill out the bottom 6 and plug in for a top 6 role occasionally.
