Trying to base it off what reinhart got. Reinhart got a late 1st and a B prospect and Reinhart is better than Mier. Plus he doesn't have a 10 mil QO

That's a valid opinion to have, but you can't deny that the sharks are shopping him activly right now and if he is moved it will be for less than what reinhart got

Spare parts? Beaudin is actively our best defensive prospect after Boqvist is gone. If you think Mitchell is better than Beaudin, by all means take him instead. Strome is still a good young middle 6 forward. A 2nd rounder in 2 years when nobody knows what the outlook of this team is could be very valuable. This is hardly a package of spare parts. But when it comes down to it, that QO is going to be a **** for whatever team he ends up on to deal with.

Doesn't Beaudan become the sharks best D prospect? you guys don't exactly have the best young core. And Strome definetly plays in the top 6 for you and he's only 23. Just saying it's not spare parts and like i've been saying look at what reinhart got and look at what buchnevic got. You're about to be disapointed when the sharks trade him for a 2nd and a prospect, which is less than what I gave here by the way

Strome is not good. We don’t have players we can balloon him with like you guys did. I’m with you that value is very wonky for forwards which is why he just shouldn’t be dealt.

I don’t think Beaudin is terrible, but he’s just a low ceiling depth defender. He’s not what the sharks should be looking for if Meier is being dealt.

not sure what you consider low cieling. I think he's gonna be a solid 2nd pair guy for us long term. He looked good in the games he played this year.

I guess you know more about him, but the sharks have other options to play third pair LHD and just don’t really need that kind of prospect. We need a prospect with potential to be a top guy if Meier is moving. So I’d be asking for a first plus a prospect if he was dealt. I wouldn’t accept a second unless the prospect was a couple tiers higher

Understandable. To me I’d swap Meier straight up for Reinhardt, so the deals would need to be very comparable.
