    Athanasiou is apparently not qualified/re-signed. He could be had in free agency.

    Crazy, I’ve heard a lot of rumours but the math doesn’t make sense, unless they are worried about Arb. What’s the reasoning?

    Kings aren’t willing to offer more than $2m he can likely get far more from his qualifying offer or in arbitration as a past 30 goal scorer. So they are hoping no one offers him $2.0+ with the cap freeze.

    I don’t think the leafs would go over 2.5m.

    He’ll likely go to a tax free state, Seattle or Vegas might make sense or he sticks with us at a similar deal as Trevor Moore 2x1.875
