More about 2023

Created by: Js43
Team: 2021-22 Detroit Red Wings
Initial Creation Date: Jul. 27, 2021
Published: Jul. 27, 2021
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
These moves are more about adding players I like from the last couple drafts than taking care of areas of need. This team would have lots of pieces to move at the deadline, would be in the running for Shane Wright, and would have an amazing prospect pool. I’m not sure about the value on the trades, but this top nine would be very exciting by end of 2022/2023.

Trades
1.
SJS
  1. Fabbri, Robby ($1,475,000 retained)
  2. Greiss, Thomas
Additional Details:
Not sure of this value. SJ is in cap hell. SJ gets rid of a terrible contract and picks up a decent forward and a better goalie option, the cost is a first “Eklund” SJ saves money and adds talent to their top six.
2.
DET
  1. Holtz, Alexander
  2. 2022 2nd round pick (NJD)
NJD
  1. Bertuzzi, Tyler [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
NJ was rumored to have interest in Bert. I assume Yzerman would do better than this, but Holtz’s is worth it in my opinion. Seems like there could be a match.

You assume too much of Yzerman.
He wouldn't get close to this.
He wouldn't ever try this deal.

This would be like NJD offering Graves for Seider and a 2nd.

Sharks aren't trading Eklund. Jones' buyout isn't even that bad.

Vrana signs for more.

I’m removing Fabbri from that Sharks trade because Jones has 3 years left at a not so decent cap hit. Sharks are “rebuilding-ish” tho so doubt they make that trade.
