Description
Essentially Newhook, Bowers, Compher and a 1st for Jack
+ Barron for Johnson and a 2nd to make up for the slight upgrade in prospect and the right handed premium

Flip Kadri to OTT for Tierney to push the young guys down the lineup for a year. I guess Kadri could fill the same role but I'd assume BUF is on his NT list

Picked up a guy who plays with some spine for both of our young centers in Compher/Wood who will be very solid bottom 6 guys next year with Asplund

Ottawa accepts.

However, Kadri has trade protection that might prevent him from being traded to Buffalo in the Eichel trade.

So, Colorado might have to trade with us directly if they want to get rid of Kadri.

Agreed. In this case he's just passing through to leave part of his cap hit in BUF. I dont think he'd even have to technically waive his MNTC

too much from the avs. specifically barron. they won't move him after they just moved timmins. change him to ranta/beaucage/foudy.

So you know....not a trade the avs would be interest in making. Sabres dance partner for Eichel is limited now, they held onto him too long this offseason and will have to wait till next year

Addressed valuation in the description.
He's essentially separate from the Eichel trade, but I understand. Johnsons our next best LHD prospect and a 2nd round pick seems like pretty fair value or even an overpay for swapping a lefty for a righty

Any team who was ever in on Eichel is still in on Eichel unless they made dramatic moves at Center like LA

why would Buffalo trade Johnson? He's arguably the 2nd best prospect in their pool.

To get an equally good or better prospect who's a righty. I think its a pretty lateral move but I'm far from an expert on other teams prospects
