I like that theory. Maybe the leafs should just go randomly take players from other teams for nothing.

Dubas was trying to land saad. Think he is being patient to see what shakes loose. Nothing wrong with waiting till TDL if the right move isn’t available now.

Making the playoffs is no guarantee this season. Florida and Boston are loading up and Tampa although taking a hit is still Tampa. Leafs are certainly no slouch, should be a very competitive division. The easiest route to the 2nd round just might be top wildcard spot.

Probably would have meant moving Engvall at minimum. I suspect kerfoot would have went.
