Can we Ban Eichel Trades?!?! We aren't getting him and fans who want him need to accept this. Can't Believe the amount of prospects and assets people are wiling to give up for a guy coming off a serious injury with 10mil cap hit

We are in 2021
Subban is a cap dump
Half retained he isn’t, but nowhere close one of Lehkonen are Struble one for one

Subban is RH PMD that on expiring deal. Lehkonen is an extremely good 3rd line PK guy, struble doesn't have much value but the picks and lehkonen would still suffice, especially if it was a dealine deal

Struble doesn’t have much value ? How the **** he doesn’t have much value ? Early 2nd round pick, was VERY good in the NCAA at a young age. Is value hasn’t change at all

Strubles Value is a 3rd round pick. its just like anyone in NCAA, you never know if they are going to sign with you. Look at Fox, NCAA Player who only wanted to play for NYR and they knew that and got him for cheap(for a norris winner) and now hes a top D

And never said he wasn’t going too lmao
So each NCAA prospect have no value until they sign ?
So Makar wasn’t worth a 1st after being drafted
That makes absolutely no sense what you are saying
Clearly new at hockey

No lol, Not at all. A player that hasn't made the World junior team and plays on a sub par NCAA team has a lot less value then Makar LOL I compared him to Fox, a guy that was a piece in the Hamilton deal and then traded for 2 2nds when he said he wouldn't sign with carolina. Who was drafted in the 3rd round. You act like his value is insane when it isn't, his value is late 2nd early 3rd, I think harris has more value then him and he was drafted later then him

Ok you clearly don’t know your hockey
How many good players decided not to sign with their team ?
Fox is the better exemple
After we got Butcher and Vesey ?
It doesn’t happen
Harris have less value because after this season, he could choose to not sign with Montreal
Struble is staying on the reserve list for a couple more seasons
Struble definitely have more value than Harris
And the reason why he didn’t play at the WJC is because he was injured (the reason why he only played 21 games) He is ****ing 19 yo, is value didn’t dropped a bit

My man, this started because you got mad I said his value isnt a 2nd round pick anymore, I CAN PROMISE you no one gives you a 2nd for him just straight up. If they do its a late 2nd like last 5 picks or something

…yeah the guy you were arguing with did a good job of highlighting where your logic falls short in terms of hockey.

The Habs go nowhere with their current prospect system bro. It doesn’t take a genius to tell. I’ve watched literally every Habs game for the last three years, having Suzuki, KK, and Caufield to look forward to watch develop, and the biggest glaring problem since I was a conscious enough human to observe is: SCORING.

The current core can’t outscored anyone. What brought the Habs to the final was the thing this Habs team has had as an intangible for about a decade: effort, pace, and physicality. Now, with no Weber, no Perry, this team has to repeat what they did last year, when they couldn’t even score last year! The goals scored in the playoffs were al very important and much needed but it doesn’t take a genius to tell if the Habs don’t have Caufield, they don’t beat the leafs.

Do you honestly think Suzuki- KK - Evans - Paquette is going to make this team a contender? In an 82 game season? I love the Hoffman addition, I love Savard, now we need a centre.

There’s a disgruntled superstar centre who is dying for a trade out of Buffalo, WHO GREW UP A HABS FAN MAY I ADD, when we have LOTS of expendable prospect assets and picks that wouldn’t ruin the future literally whatsoever.

Habs fans are right to wish for Eichel. The Habs have never had a proven superstar since an elderly Kovalchuk and a couple seasons of Kovalev. This Habs team will continue to drown in mediocrity and barely squeaking into the playoffs year after year, digging Price’s retirement hole even deeper. The Habs are desperate for proven ability and Eichel, injured or not, will bring that to this Habs team.

Also, I’m sure the Habs would be fine the few months Eichel needs out for his surgery.

Eichel would be amazing, I personally would trade Kotkaniemi Guhle Romanov 1st Poehling Ylonen, but don’t touch Suzuki and Caufield
You, would you trade Suzuki + for Eichel ?

That’s where I draw the line. I think Suzuki, Caufield, and Romanov our the guys that will progress the Habs Future. I think moving any of those, REALLY hurts the future. KK, I think may succeed in another environment same with Lehkonen. I’d love to keep them, but having a star supersedes any prospect potential we have

Losing Romanov isn’t a big deal IF Norlinder and Guhle develop as expected
