I think that the Sens would then look to flip Okposo with more salary retained to a 3rd team to try to recoup some 2022 draft capital.

Can Logan Brown just retire already so that people stop including him as a piece in trades?

We'll the Sabres kinda need Okposo cap hit in order to reach the cap floor. So that being said by taking on that contract you are not lowering the asking price. Then the value of the trade doesn't equal the asking price of the equivalent of 4 firsts. I would imagine Ottawa would also have to over pay considering they are in the same division. Don't see the Sabres taking this offer.

Why is Minnesota in the deal?

I thought they got removed, I tried to have them as a place Ottawa could flip Okposo, but it wouldn't let me have both teams retain part of Okposo's salary. I went with Minny because Okposo is from St. Paul.

Good point, I wasn't thinking about the floor. That said I am sure NJ would be willing to send them PK to help them reach it. Or Koskinen from the Oilers.

They definitely could be in on other moves like that. But because of that you don't need Okposo in the trade. They will hit the floor just fine with the young guys they have to sign that are RFA's. It's just going to take alot to get Eichel, if it was a deal teams would be comfortable making then a trade would have already made it.
